Randy Karraker is a prominent sports announcer in St. Louis, known for his extensive knowledge and passion for sports. Born and raised in St. Louis, Karraker has spent his entire career covering local sports, including the Cardinals, Blues, and Rams. In his early days, he was an usher for the Cardinals and the Blues. He is a graduate of Parkway North High School and Lindenwood University. He launched his broadcasting career in 1983 while attending Lindenwood University in St. Charles.

After Lindenwood, Karraker spent 18 years at KMOX Radio, working his way up from an intern to hosting the station’s marquee sports program “Sports Open Line.” After leaving KMOX, he worked for KTRS Radio and Team 1380 Radio where he hosted an afternoon drive program called “The Roll Home” alongside Bernie Miklasz.

Next, Karraker joined 101 ESPN Radio where he hosted “The Fast Lane” with former Cardinal pitcher Brad Thompson and Chris Rongey. The show was very popular. Listeners tuned in to hear Karraker and his partners dissect games, celebrate victories, and debate player stats. Before the Rams moved back to Los Angeles in January 2016, Karraker was the voice behind the St. Louis Rams pregame shows on 101 ESPN. He hosted “The Morning Drive” show on 101 ESPN. He spent 16 years at 101 ESPN.

In 2009 and 2010, Karraker was the television voice of Southern Illinois Edwardsville Cougars basketball on CCIN. He also hosted the popular CCIN television program “Chalk Talk” with Malcolm Briggs, McGraw Millhaven, and Tony Twist.

Karraker is currently a television presenter at Gray Media. He also hosts “The Fight with Karraker & Company” on Matrix Midwest. “The Randy Karraker Show” is now on YouTube.

In 2024, Karraker was inducted into the St. Louis Sports Hall of Fame. That was a testament to his significant contributions to sports broadcasting in his hometown of St. Louis. He is known for his charity work and community involvement, making him a beloved figure in St. Louis.
