Chad is currently the president of the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association. He has been with SLABA for 31 years, including 20 years of executive board service. He became president of SLABA in 2023 after serving as executive vice president since 2011. From 2005 to 2011, Fix was executive board secretary at SLABA. He has helped hundreds of young men move on to play college and professional baseball. Max Scherzer played for SLABA. David Freese and Ryan Howard are the most famous alumni and both men have SLABA leagues named in their honor. Fix managed the Sports Print Stallions in the SLABA League from 1994 to 2007. In 2002, his Stallions team advanced to the PONY Baseball World Series. In 2005, the Stallions played in the World Series of the National Amateur Baseball Federation. Fix was the Program Director of the Stallions from 2003 to 2012. He was the Finance Director at the Stallions from 2013 to 2021. In 2009, Fix received the Sears-Muskopf Award for his volunteer service to SLABA. In 2023, he received the SLABA Lifetime Achievement Award. Fix played baseball in the Khoury League and he was on the baseball team at Hazelwood Central High School. His father was a high school coach who encouraged him to pursue a baseball career.
