Ex-Marine was a versatile player from days as infielder-outfielder with Holy Trinity in CYC League and then with Central High School in 1947 and 1948.

Semipro career in North Carolina interrupted by Marine duty at Camp LeJeune for four years. Returned to St. Louis in 1954, joining Polish Falcons, and played with Borbein-Young city and state semipro champions in 1956 and with Kutis' Muny winners in 1957. For seven years through 1965, he played infield for Union Printers.
