Robert has been playing baseball for over 37 years. He is currently the shortstop and pitcher for the Patriots in the St. Louis Baseball Forever League. Schwarz has played shortstop his entire career and only began pitching a few years ago. He was the leading hitter on several teams, typically hitting over .400. Schwarz played in the Roy Hobbs World Series from 2011-13, batting over .400 each season.

He played for Cleveland High School, Southeast Missouri State University and Meramec Community College. He has also coached little league ballplayers.
