A former Major League Baseball (MLB) player who primarily played first base and outfield. Born on October 9, 1970, in Norwich, Connecticut, he attended the University of Southern California (USC).
Robertson was drafted by the Chicago White Sox in the 3rd round of the 1991 MLB June Amateur Draft. He made his MLB debut with the White Sox on September 6, 1996. Over his three-year MLB career, he also played for the Philadelphia Phillies (1997) and was a member of the inaugural Arizona Diamondbacks team (1998). In his MLB tenure, he accumulated a .190 batting average with 11 hits and 4 runs batted in over 39 games.
Prior to his brief MLB stint, Robertson had a more extensive minor league career, where he showcased his power, hitting 122 home runs over 4280 at-bats with a .269 batting average.
After his playing career, Robertson transitioned into baseball front office roles, including serving as President of Scouting and Player Development for the Boston Red Sox in 2014. As of April 2025, he also serves as a pastor at Calvary Chapel West Houston.
