An outstanding left-handed pitcher for St. Louis University, Mineral Area College, Missouri Baptist University and was a farmhand with the Toronto Blue Jays. With the Jays, Jockish spent three seasons between 1988 and 1990, toiling for the St. Catharines Blue Jays in 1988 and 1989, and the Erie Sailors in 1990.
Jockish pitched for Missouri Baptist College in 1987 and 1988 and was named All-District the latter season and was selected to the Metro Collegiate all-star team in 1987. He pitched for St. Louis University in 1983 and the next two seasons at Mineral Area. In 1987 and 1988, Jockish was a pitcher for the Sotolar Pointers in the CYC Senior Major League, helping his team advance to the NBC tournament both years. In 1987, he played in the CYC all-star game.
Jockish hurled for Sverdrup & Parcel in 1985. He was a standout pitcher at Bishop DuBourg High School in the early 1980s. In 1984, he was nominated for the MS Society’s Celebrity Sports Award.
