A left-handed pitcher, he played in the farm system of the Toronto Blue Jays for three seasons from 1988 to 1990. He pitched in the New York-Pennsylvania League for the St. Catharines Blue Jays in 1988 and 1989, and the Erie Sailors in 1990.
Jockish pitched for Missouri Baptist College in 1987 and 1988. He was named All-District in 1988, and he was selected to the Metro Collegiate all-star team in 1987. He pitched for Mineral Area College in 1984 and 1985, and St. Louis University in 1983.
In 1987 and 1988, Jockish was a pitcher for the Solotar Pointers in the CYC Senior Major League, helping his team advance to the NBC tournament both years. He played in the CYC all-star game in 1987.
Jockish pitched for Sverdrup & Parcel in 1985. He was a pitcher for Bishop DuBourg High School in the early 1980s.
In 1984, Jockish was nominated for the MS Society's Celebrity Sports Award.
