He is currently the head baseball coach at Marquette High School, a job he has held since 2003. During his 22 years as the head baseball coach at Marquette, he has 337 wins and 213 losses. He won seven district titles and five conference championships. Marquette finished second in the state of Missouri in 2019. In 2023, Meyer was inducted into the Missouri High School Baseball Association Hall of Fame.
In 2019, he was named Baseball Coach of the Year by the Missouri Coaches Association after Marquette finished second at the Missouri State Tournament. That year, he was also named the Midwest Sectional Coach of the Year. In 1999, he was the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association Coach of the Year. He was the Suburban West Conference Coach of the Year in 2007, 2013, 2014, and 2017.
Meyer served as president of the Missouri State High School Baseball Association from 2012 to 2015, and he was vice president from 2008 to 2011.
Meyer was the assistant baseball coach at Marquette High School for one year before becoming head coach.
From 1999 to 2001, he was the assistant baseball coach at Eureka High School. During that same time, he was the head baseball coach for Meramec Valley in the St. Louis Amateur Baseball Association.
He coached American Legion baseball in Nebraska before moving to St. Louis. Meyer has over 500 wins during his 30-year baseball career. He won numerous championships.
