Harry, also known as "Red", Liebrum was involved with amateur baseball for over 30 years, playing, managing, coaching and training. He was right- handed all the way and played every position in the infield, mostly at shortstop. Some of the top clubs he performed for were Dau Furniture, Geraghty Undertakers, St. Louis Flyers, Laclede Council Knights of Columbus, Wilson Hardware, Southside Chevrolet, and Laclede Gas Company. Harry was selected as the MVP in the City Muny League in 1934. Red’s baseball ability helped him get a job with Laclede Gas, where he worked for 46 years.
