Left-handed hitting first baseman played 10 years for the Mathews-Dickey Knights, helping win 1973 state semi-pro tournament by hitting two home runs, then participated in National Baseball Congress tournament at Wichita. Teams for which he starred won two Heine Meine titles, four in the Cool Papa Bell League and five in Tandy competition.
